There is no cut this week as it is a limited field.

All 30 players will start the 72-hole event with a handicap based on their position in the FedEx Cup standings through last Sunday's BMW Championship.

PLEASE NOTE: Bookmakers are running two different markets this week. The main market is Tour Championship winner which takes into account the handicap start. The other market is being called "Tour Championship without starting strokes". This market is the lowest 72-hole score. Be careful when placing bets that you are betting on the right market.

In-Play

Birdie Holes
The par 5's (6th and 18th), are the easiest holes.  The par 3 11th played as the easiest hole in 2021 outside the par 5s.

Fast or Slow Start
Nine of the last thirteen winners have been 1st after the 3rd round, and none have been outside the top 3. This is a tough course to play catch up.

2023 Tour Championship Round 3 Summary

Viktor Hovland produced a tee to green masterclass to create a six shot lead, which could have easily been more has he holed a few more putts on his back nine. Collin Morikawa and Scottie Scheffler struggled with a pair of 73's, meaning Xander Schauffele is Hovland's nearest rival now after a 68.

Notable Round 3 Tour Championship Quotes

"Like, putting it all together, I don't think I've ever played this well before, with this stretch, just putting all the short game and stuff together. I've certainly hit the ball this good before. I feel like I've hit the ball better than I have this week and even last week." Viktor Hovland

"Yeah. Shoot, I missed two short putts coming in there on 15 and 18 right there. I look up at the board and if I made those two like I normally would, I would still -- I wouldn't have gained anything on the leader. So not good enough." Xander Schauffele

2023 Tour Championship Round 4 Weather

Sunny and hot. Wind 2-4mph.

Back or Fade The Favourite?

Neither! Viktor is 1/8 to win and he should do with a few shots to spare. Although Scottie Scheffler lost a six shot lead last year, Hovland looks in total control of his game right now and we just can't see a collapse happening.

In-Play Tour Championship Bets We Considered

A similar story to yesterday, we still consider Xander Schauffele the most likely contender aside from Hovland. There are a variety of markets we could look to play him in, 'Winner without Viktor Hovland' market, 'Top American' market, or take him to beat Hovland on his 2-ball.

2023 Tour Championship Round 2 Summary

A well executed round by the leaders as a pair of 64's saw Hovland and Morikawa take a two shot lead over Scottie Scheffler who shot 65.

Notable Round 2 Tour Championship Quotes

"Well, I think it all starts from just the tee. I'm hitting a lot of fairways, driving it really well. If you're constantly in the fairway on this golf course, you can really be aggressive with some of the iron shots in there. Just been able to give myself a lot of looks. On the back nine, I started making some putts." Viktor Hovland

"But the game does feel really good. Mentally I feel really good. Like I said yesterday, like J.J. told me end of Sunday last week, was just to enjoy it. It's hard to get here. It really is." Collin Morikawa

"Yeah. I mean, I try to approach each round the same way, but I mean, yeah, it is a bit weird starting a tournament with the lead. I don't know. It's definitely an interesting format. But, yeah, go out there tomorrow and, I mean, yeah, I guess it's a little bit of a blessing to have a pretty bad day and still be in the tournament. So, yeah, go out there tomorrow and just keep fighting." Scottie Scheffler

2023 Tour Championship Round 3 Weather

Sunny and hot. Wind 5-7mph.

Back or Fade The Favourite?

Viktor Hovland has taken over as 19/10 favourite and he feels hard to oppose given how well he has played since the BMW Championship. He is driving the ball superbly and the putter is also working, he shot 66 yesterday with average approach play. The main reason to oppose him would be the strength of his rivals, Morikawa seems back to his best this week, leading both off the tee and approach, we mentioned yesterday that he was the best price of the favourites at 11/2 and may still well be at 13/5 this morning.

In-Play Tour Championship Bets We Considered

It's hard to see past the top three in the market now but Xander Schauffele was given serious consideration at 14/1. He has a 72 hole East Lake record of 6-3-1-2-7-1 and is currently 9 under par through 36 holes so he has the strongest record out of the top five here. He ranked 2nd tee to green yesterday behind Morikawa and is still a live danger but he has a lot of quality to pass.

2023 Tour Championship Round 1 Summary

An exciting opening round saw Scottie Scheffler trade heavily odds on before unravelling on the back nine, playing holes 11-16 in FIVE over par including a treble bogey on the 15th. Meanwhile, Collin Morikawa shot a 61 and Keegan Bradley shot a 63 to join Viktor Hovland on a share of the lead. Rory McIlroy battled though a back injury causing him discomfort and managed to stay in the tournament three shots back.

Notable Round 1 Tour Championship Quotes

"So I was always going to tee off. It was just a matter of how I felt on the course. And it got progressively a little tighter as I went, but it will hopefully get loosened up here and just another 20 -- or 18 hours of recovery and go again tomorrow." Rory McIlroy

"But just really I think for the next three days is just have that control of the golf ball, keep hitting it pin high, giving myself chances. I looked at J.J. I think we were through 12 or 13 holes and we joked thinking that we haven't hit this many shots pin high in four rounds in a full tournament for awhile. So it's been nice to just kind of see that, kind of see the irons do what I want, and just keep it up, really." Collin Morikawa

2023 Tour Championship Round 2 Weather

Sunny and hot. Wind 7-9mph.

Back or Fade The Favourite?

Scottie Scheffler is narrow 16/5 favourite and he looks worth taking on after a deflating start to the event, where has let back in most of the field with a chance. He has now shot over par in his last two rounds at East Lake and that will be a mental obstacle he has to overcome today. With so many good players ahead/behind him, he looks too short in the betting given his putting issues.

In-Play Tour Championship Bets We Considered

Adam Schenk was given serious consideration at 66/1 but there is a price we prefer today which has been tipped to subscribers. Out of the favourites, Morikawa would be preferred at 11/2 after how he struck the ball all day.
