Winning score
Ranged from -13 to -22 over the past eight events here. Max Kieffer won with -15 last year whilst Johannes Veerman won with a score of -15 in 2021.
Winning Profile
Max Kieffer was ranked 279th and Johannes Veerman was 179th in the world when winning in 2021. Thomas Pieters was 109th in the world but not in great form in 2019. When Pieters won here in 2015, it was his first tour win and he was world number 245. Andrea Pavan was ranked 256th but in great form prior to his win in 2018. Hadyn Porteous was 389th in 2017 but also in great form. Don't be afraid to take on someone further down the rankings this week if the price is right.
Course form
Pieters has strong course form prior to his win in 2019 but the other six victors had never finished better than 29th. It's not a necessity to have previous course form.
Recent form
Max Kieffer arrived in steady form but wasn't setting the world alight. Johannes Veerman won in 2021 on the back of a hot run of form (46th at The Open, 8th at the Scottish Open and 3rd at the Irish Open). Pieters wasn't in strong form in 2019 but Pavan and Porteous were both 6th in their previous starts and had a top 20 in their second last start. Form is definitely preferred but not essential.
Favourites or Outsiders
Paul Peterson was a 1000/1 shot in 2016 but the other seven winners started at less than 100/1.

Czech Masters In-Play Guide
Tough Holes
Long par 4's, 17th and 8th, played as the toughest holes in 2021 followed by the 183 yard par 3 16th.
Birdie Holes
The four par 5's and the driveable par 4 6th hole played easiest in 2022.
Fast or Slow Start
Catch up is possible here. Last year's winner Max Kieffer and 2021 winner Johannes Veerman were four shots back after the opening round.
In 2019, runner up, Adri Arnaus was SEVEN shots behind after round one and none of the top four were in the top nine after round one.
Kieffer was four back at halfway but led after three rounds. Veerman was three back at halfway and two back after three rounds.

2023 D+D Real Czech Masters Round 3 Summary
Leader after 36 holes, Alexander Bjork, had a nightmare third round (only Adrian Meronk scored worse than Bjork) and has slipped out of contention. Matt Wallace and Sami Valimaki have taken on the mantle, with Nicolai Hojgaard once again a shot off the pace.
2023 D+D Real Czech Masters Round 4 Weather
Rain showers possible. Wind 5-10mph.
Back or Lay The Favourite?
We mentioned in yesterday's blog that we considered Matt Wallace as a bet at 8/1 and are somewhat kicking ourselves that we didn't back him. Joint leader going into the final round, Wallace is now a best price of 12/5 to claim his fifth DP World Tour title.
Ranking third for SG: Tee to Green this week, Wallace is certainly playing well enough to land the title. However, it is notable that he has failed to convert his last five third round leads. With Wallace needing a win to have any chance of a Ryder Cup place, he may feel the pressure.
In-Play D+D Real Czech Masters Bets We Considered
The last five winners of this event have all been inside the top 5 going into the final round and it would take a special round from one of the players who are not already at thirteen under par to win. With some potentially unpleasant weather moving in, Fabrizio Zanotti and Will Besseling were considered.

2023 D+D Real Czech Masters Round 2 Summary
Alexander Bjork followed his opening round of 65 with a round of 66 to take a one shot lead into the weekend at the Czech Masters. The Swede is yet to drop a shot this week in what has been a very solid start.
2023 D+D Real Czech Masters Round 3 Weather
Rain showers and thunderstorms possible. Wind 10-15mph.
Back or Lay The Favourite?
Alexander Bjork edges Nicolai Hojgaard for favouritism going into the weekend. Bjork can be backed at a best price of 14/5 but it is awfully short for a player who struggled when leading after three rounds at the Porsche European Open in June.
None of the last four halfway leaders of this event have been able to convert and we're not backing Bjork to buck that trend.
In-Play D+D Real Czech Masters Bets We Considered
Matt Wallace was the player who most interested us at 8/1. A winner on the PGA Tour this year, he is also a multiple winner on the DP World Tour in previous years. He ranks 2nd SG: Tee to Green so far this week and looks capable of posting another win.

2023 D+D Real Czech Masters Round 1 Summary
Sami Valimaki fired a bogey free round of 63 to take a two stroke lead after the opening round of the 2023 Czech Masters.
2023 D+D Real Czech Masters Round 2 Weather
Sunny. Wind 5-9mph.
Back or Lay The Favourite?
Nicolai Hojgaard is the 9/2 favourite after opening with a round of 65. However, with 30 players having shot -4 or better, we're not keen to back the young Dane at such short odds. Plenty of the players in contention at the top of the leaderboard are Ryder Cup hopefuls and it wouldn't be a surprise to see one of them lift the trophy this week.
In-Play D+D Real Czech Masters Bets We Considered
Adrian Otaegui was in our thoughts at odds of 30/1. His price appears to be big in comparison to some others and shouldn't be twice the price of Yannik Paul with Paul only one shot better off after 18 holes.
