Profile
Seung-Yul turned pro in 2008 and quickly made a name for himself as a future prospect by winning once and recording three further runner up spots.  A win on the European Tour followed in 2010 at the Malaysian Open before moving to play the PGA Tour in 2012.

Noh had to pause his golf career in November 2017 as he was obligated to undertake two years of military service in his native South Korea.  He played several events on the Korean Tour in 2019 before resuming his career on the PGA Tour in 2020.

Significant Info To Be Aware Of
As mentioned above, Noh has recently returned to professional golf from two year compulsory military service in South Korea.  He will be playing on the PGA Tour in 2020 on a Major Medical extension as a result.

Seung-Yul will be 30 in May 2021, it'll be interesting to see if this significant birthday inspires him.

Stats Analysis
Long and Short Game - The most recent stats available for Noh are his 2017 figures.  These show him to be an erratic driver of the ball but a very good scrambler and putter.  His early starts on the 2020 season on  the PGA Tour show that his game is still very much built on these strengths.

Trends
Unpredictable - Seung-Yul is a player who can pop up and post a result when seemingly out of form.  His first top 10 since military service was a 6th place finish on the Korean Tour which was preceded by a 45th place finish.  The story was much the same prior to his military service, his previous seven top 10s having been preceded by nothing better than a 42nd place finish.

Major & WGC Analysis
Major's - A long way off this level currently.

WGC's - A long way off this level currently.

Pressure Performance Rating
September 2020 - Shot 64-69 in the opening rounds of the Shinhan Donghae Open to occupy joint 2nd spot.  Could only post 72-74 at the weekend to finish 22nd.

August 2020 - Four shots back going into the final round at the GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship, shot a hugely disappointing 73 (joint worst of anyone in the top 40) to slip back to 19th.

June 2020 - Entered the final round of the Travelers Championship in 7th place, six shots off leader Brendon Todd.  Shot a 69 (joint 2nd worst of anyone in the top 20) to slip to 11th.

May 2017 - Noh entered the final round of the Wells Fargo Championship, two shots behind Patrick Reed.  Fired an average 71 to finish in 5th place and miss out by 3 shots.

Summary - Having been away from the game for so long, Seung-Yul's Golf Betting Club Pressure Performance Rating is set at 1 star.  He's capable of winning again but he's suffering from contention rust at present and we will need to see him in the mix more often before we can trust him to convert a winning opportunity.

Playoff Record
0-1. Seung-Yul has only been in one playoff and given that it was in 2008 we should apply little weight to it.  For those interested, Innchoon Hwang beat him at the Caltex Maekyung Open.
