Scottie bagged his first PGA Tour title at the 2022 Waste Open Phoenix Management Open, beating Patrick Cantlay in a playoff. He then took his career to new heights, winning the Masters in April 2022.

Pressure Performance Analysis

Summary
Scottie was excellent at closing tournaments in the first half of 2022 but his record prior and record since is mixed. His Golf Betting Club Pressure Performance Rating is set at ⭐⭐⭐.

March 2023
❌ In second position and one stroke behind Kurt Kitayama at the Arnold Palmer Invitational going into the final round.  Bogeyed the last hole from the fairway and would finish 4th.

February 2023
✅Successfully defended his Phoenix Open title when leading after 54 holes.

December 2022
Entered the final round of the Hero World Challenge three shots behind Viktor Hovland.  Shot a 68 to Hovland's 69 to remain 2nd.

August 2022
❌ Started the final round of the Tour Championship 6 shots ahead and shot 73 to lose by 1 shot. Looked out of sorts all round.

August 2022
Trailed by 2 shots at the BMW Championship and shot 70 to lose by 3 shots to Cantlay who shot 69.

June 2022
➖ Began the final round of the US Open 2 shots behind the leaders and shot 67 to finish one shot short of winner Fitzpatrick. Took the lead during the front 9 but couldn't hold on.

May 2022
❌ Began the final round of the Charles Schwab Challenge 2 shots ahead and shot a final round 72 which was only enough for a playoff, which he lost. Not a terrible perfomance but didn't prodcue his best golf.

March 2022
✅ Won The Masters after converting a three shot lead, winning comfortable in the end. A performance of real maturity given he's never won when leading a strokeplay event.

March 2022
✅ Won the WGC World Matchplay Championship defeating Kevin Kisner comfortably. A strong performance leading from hole 2 onwards.

March 2022
✅ Began the Arnold Palmer Invitational 2 shots behind the leaders in difficult conditions and shot 72 to win by 1 shot.

February 2022
✅Began the final round of the Phoenix Open 2 shots behind Sahith Theegala. Shot 67 to enter a Playoff with Patrick Cantlay, which he won with a birdie 3. It should be noted he missed a 5ft birdie putt on his 72nd hole to win outright.

November 2021
❌ Led by a stroke going into the final round at the Houston Open, a final round 69 saw him slip up and finish 2nd.  A tournament he should have won.

August 2021
❌ Began the final round of the WGC FedEx five shots behind Harris English.  Shot a 74 to slip from 5th to 14th.  A disappointing effort.

July 2021

Significant Quotes

Sentry Tournament of Champions 2023
I think major championships set up well for me. I like the aspects of those tournaments where they're very challenging. I kind of like the grind of those tournaments where a par is a great score, where the easier golf courses, I don't think mentally I get as excited. For me, the majors are kind of exciting because you feel like you're going into a boxing match. You're going in to really fight the golf course and stuff like that, and those are really fun.
