Thomas broke into the world's top 100 for the first time in 2020 following top 5's at the Celtic Classic, Hero Open and Cyprus Showdown. He's posted three 2nd place finishes on the European Tour and is considered one of the best European Tour members without a win.
In 2016, he set a new record by winning a Challenge Tour event by 12 strokes, which demonstrates his talent. With 18 top 10's between 2017 and 2020 on the European Tour, he can be expected to win in the very near future. Once he gets that win it is likely he will be a future Ryder Cup star for Europe.
Thomas has own website where he blogs quite often. This offers a weekly insight into how he's feeling about his game. Link here.
Thomas moved to Dubai early in 2021, expect him to post some good results in events in the Middle East as he spends more time practicing out there.

Pressure Performance Analysis
Began the final round of the Porsche European Open 2 shots behind Matthew Southgate. Shot 69 to finish 2nd to Armitage by 2 shots. A better effort.
Led the Dubai Desert Classic by 1 shot after 36 holes and shot +2 to end the day 7 shots behind Paul Casey who took 10 shots less than him.
Finished 4th in the final round of the Cyprus Showdown where the last 16 all started at level par.
Started one shot behind Jamie Donaldson at the Cyprus Open. Shot 69 to finish five behind Callum Shinkwin who shot 64. A poor final round effort.
Started final round of the Celtic Classic two shots behind Sam Horsfield and finished two shots behind him, both shooting 67.
Started final round of the Hero Open three shots behind Sam Horsfield and finished one shot behind him, shooting 66.
Thomas is undoubtedly getting closer to that first European Tour win and we can expect him to get over the line in 2021. Recent efforts in Cyprus and Dubai were poor though so we have set his GBC Pressure Performance Rating to 2 stars.

Four best finishes in 2020 were scores of -15 or better (including Cyprus Showdown).
Both 2nd place finishes in 2020 followed mediocre performances the week before, as was the case in 2018 when his best two finishes (3rd place at KLM Open and 3rd at Turkish Airlines Open) followed missed cuts.
Major and WGC Analysis
Thomas played his first major in 2020, finishing 49th at the US Open. Needs a European Tour win before he can be considered seriously here.
Yet to play a WGC but will make first appearance in Mexico 2021.
"This time next year I hope to be sitting inside the Top 50 and with one or two new trophies on my mantlepiece too!"
"Without a doubt, my new caddy Mike has been the biggest bonus to the team this year. He’s managed to inject an amazing extra energy amongst us on and off the course and his passion towards his work and the game has definitely had a knock on effect on me too!"
