BIO

Seung-Yul turned pro in 2008 and quickly made a name for himself as a future prospect by winning once and recording three further runner up spots.  A win on the European Tour followed in 2010 at the Malaysian Open before moving to play the PGA Tour in 2012.

Noh had to pause his golf career in November 2017 as he was obligated to undertake two years of military service in his native South Korea.  He played several events on the Korean Tour in 2019 before resuming his career on the PGA Tour in 2020.

Significant info

As mentioned above, Noh has recently returned to professional golf from two year compulsory military service in South Korea.  He will be playing on the PGA Tour in 2020 on a Major Medical extension as a result.

Seung-Yul will be 30 in May 2021, it'll be interesting to see if this significant birthday inspires him in 2022.

Pressure Performance Analysis

Summary
Having been away from the game for so long, Seung-Yul's Golf Betting Club Pressure Performance Rating is set at ⭐.  He's capable of winning again but he's suffering from contention rust at present and we will need to see him in the mix more often before we can trust him to convert a winning opportunity.

September 2020

August 2020
❌ Four shots back going into the final round at the GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship, shot a hugely disappointing 73 (joint worst of anyone in the top 40) to slip back to 19th.

Events to back Noh

Travelers Championship
Could surprise with another Top 20 finsih following his 11th place in 2020 when on a run of missed cuts.

Playoff Record

0-1.

Seung-Yul has only been in one playoff and given that it was in 2008 we should apply little weight to it.  For those interested, Innchoon Hwang beat him at the Caltex Maekyung Open.
