Profile
Callum turned professional in November 2013 and gained his European Tour card for 2016 following a 3rd place at the Challenge Tour Grand Final. A solid first year on Tour was followed by a poor start to 2017, until the Scottish Open where he finished 2nd after a playoff (he bogeyed the par 5 18th hole with a great chance to win in regulation).

It appeared to affect him in contention for the next couple of years as he threw away chances to win in Holland and India, but he finally bagged his maiden win at the Cyprus Open in 2020, fighting his playoff demons to defeat Kalle Samooja. He finished 2020 ranked 141st in the world.

Callum is a largely inconsistent type who will be looking to improve in this area in 2021. When his game is on, he is an extremely dangerous competitor though and can be picked up at some juicy prices. A big hitter of the ball, look for courses where he can use this to his advantage.

Significant Info To Be Aware Of
None

Stats Analysis
Short Game -  Improved putting stats in 2020 for putts per GIR, rising from 151st to 79th. Plenty of room for improvement.

Long Game - Callum is one of the longer hitters on tour, ranking in the top 15 in 2019 and 2020. He is not an accurate driver ranking outside top 100 for both those years. Improved GIR stats in 2020 rising to 38th.

Trends
Unpredictable - Incredibly, three of Callum's best ever finishes have come after a WD on his previous tournament. He has a win in 2020 and a 5th and 6th place in 2019 which all followed withdrawals. Callum is about as unpredictable as they come.

Major & WGC Analysis
Major's - Callum has played three Open Championships, making his first cut in 2019. He is still some way off competing at this level although does have some links pedigree if he were to improve.

WGC's - Yet to play a WGC.

Pressure Performance Rating
November 2020 - Finished 4th at final round of the Cyprus Showdown where the last 16 all started at level par.

November 2020 - Won the Cyprus Open. Began final round 2 shots behind Jamie Donaldson and shot 63 including an eagle at the last to reach a playoff. Birdied the first extra hole to win.

August 2020 - Started final round of Celtic Classic four shots off the pace.  Shot 70 to drop from 7th to 11th.

August 2019 - Began final round of KLM Open tied for the lead with Sergio Garcia. Shot 74 to finish 5 shots behind Garcia in 5th place.

March 2019 - Led by 1 shot at the Hero Indian Open. Shot 78 to finish 4 shots behind Steven Gallacher who shot 71. A really poor effort.

Summary - Callum was really poor in contention in 2019, but we have set his GBC Pressure Performance Rating to 3 stars following two good efforts in Cyprus in 2020.

Playoff Record
1-1. Lost his first ever playoff to Rafa Cabrera Bello at the Scottish Open in 2017. In 2020, beat Kalle Samooja to win his maiden European Tour title in Cyprus.

Significant Quotes
November 2020
"I felt relaxed all day, I felt great, to be fair. 15 and 16 were playing me up all week. I was more nervous playing those two holes just to get through them than in the play-off or on the 18th. I managed to get through them really well and I felt great."
